There is not a day that goes by that I do not ground my body. Why? Because when I miss a day of grounding I feel less balanced in my mind and body, I am more apt to skip exercise and my body feels stiff. It was at a wellness retreat that I was introduced to the science of grounding. I had sprained my ankle and after being grounded for 30 minutes the swelling and inflammation were gone.
Decades of research has shown that grounding or earthing – the connection of our bodies to the earth – can remove inflammation from the body, can improve sleep, increase energy, lower stress, and promote calm in the body by cooling the nervous system and reduce stress hormones, reduce chronic pain and fatigue, and relieve muscle tension and headaches to name a few. It has done all of that for me. It’s simple and easy to do… yep, you need to be grounding.
